ABOUT THE EVENT
My Orpheus is a poetic and physical performance inspired by the visionary Jean Cocteau – artist, filmmaker, and eternal seeker. Through movement and gesture, performer Vladyslav Detiuchenko brings the poet’s inner world to life, exploring timeless questions: What is a poet? Can art grant immortality? How do we remain human in a world of illusions, change, and progress?
Set to music by Erik Satie and contemporary Ukrainian composer Ivan Harkusha (John Hope), My Orpheus is a philosophical journey through memory, identity, and the enduring force of creativity – a space where reality and fantasy meet, and the search for meaning begins.
