ABOUT THE EVENT
Michelle H. Flagstad is a trained dance artist at the University of Stavanger where she has a 4-year Bachelor in dance with integrated PPU. She has worked as a producer for a number of performing arts projects in the free field, including Theisen/Johannesdottir/Lauvdal/Floen/Helgebostad, Bananaz, SIB Dance Lab, Hagit Yakira Dance and KOLLEKTIVNI, as well as project manager for Ravnedans from 2018-2021.
In recent years, she has worked as general manager of PRODA professional dance training. From autumn 2024, she will start as a producer for Scenekunst Sør and as a freelancer in various projects.
Workshop description:
The course covers how a performing arts production is carried out from A-Z, everything from planning and carrying out a production, as well as work with guest performances and tours. On the course, you also get a number of work tools/templates, as well as tips and tricks for self-management and a sustainable working life.
The course includes, among other things:
- The producer's tasks, role and role understanding
- Idea development, application writing, progress plan, budget and contracts
- General administration, logistics, digital work tools
- The production period; plan and checklist for artistic technical and administrative winding up
- Finishing work; accounting, reporting
- Volunteering; recruitment, motivation and organisation
- Tournament/away game
The course is open to everyone!
The price of NOK 750 covers the workshop and lunch as well as a ticket to the performance Not My Bones (Makuda)
