ABOUT THE EVENT
Pedagogy Seminar with Siri Jøntvedt
Dear dance teacher, arts school educator, and colleague – on Friday, October 31, right in the middle of the IN2IT International Dance Festival in Kristiansund, we invite you to a professional breathing space: a pedagogy seminar on bodily sustainability in the dance profession, led by dance artist Siri Jøntvedt.
Siri Jøntvedt will share from her many years of experience as a performer and creative artist. She opens up conversations about the body, age, and diversity in dance – and challenges the persistent ideal of youth in the dance field.
Through exercises in improvisation, composition, and presence, you will work both individually and together with others. We will explore how technique can be adapted to meet the body’s changing needs, and how we can strengthen our own practice – both as artists and as educators.
