Pedagogical seminar with Siri Jøntvedt

Dear dance educator, cultural school teacher and colleague – on Friday, October 31st, in the middle of the IN2IT International Dance Festival in Kristiansund, we invite you to a professional respite: a pedagogical seminar on physical sustainability in the dance profession, led by dance artist Siri Jøntvedt.

Here you will find inspiration, reflection and practical work on topics that concern us all: How do we take care of our bodies – so that we can stay in this profession for a long time? How do we meet the body's changes with curiosity, and how can creative practice be a resource through different phases of life?

What can you expect?

Siri Jøntvedt shares her many years of experience as a performer and creative artist. She opens up conversations about the body, age, and dance diversity – and challenges the persistent ideal of youth in dance.

Through exercises in improvisation, composition and presence, you will work both alone and with others. We will explore how technique can be nuanced in response to the changing needs of the body, and how we can strengthen our own practice – both as artists and educators.
