February 28 marked the Kick-off for the In2It festival with a screening of Wind Between the Islands - a choreographic portrait of Kristiansund on the occasion of its establishment as a cultural municipality 2025-2027.

With Normoria as the setting for the event, the audience was able to experience both a film screening, an artist talk, and photos from the completion of the film in Svalbard.

Short Stories is a regional youth project that brings together dance-interested youth from all over Møre og Romsdal during the In2It festival every year. This year, around 60 young dancers from Surnadal, Ålesund, Molde and Kristiansund participated.

With this year's festival theme Beyond Emergency – Dance as a Practice of Agency, the dancers had created choreographies that conveyed personal stories and reflections through movement and expression.

For In2It, it is important to give the next generation of dancers a platform where they can express themselves, and help create an ecosystem where young dancers can flourish and develop.

Morning rave with success

On Monday morning at 7:00 a.m., In2It organized its first morning rave with great success. The concept, which has already been established in several major cities, is drug-free and involves dancing ecstatically to DJ beats.

In collaboration with the Kunsthallen and Kiira from the DJ Guild, the participants woke up their bodies to wonderful rhythms, followed by a delicious breakfast at Påtår café.

The organizers were positively surprised by both the attendance and the good response from the participants.

Morgen-rave is an inclusive concept that is suitable for everyone. Here you can come just as you are and dance as you want and here you can dance exactly as you want.

The festival continues

The first days of the In2It festival have already offered strong artistic expressions, committed young dancers and new meeting places for the audience. From film screenings and artist talks to youth projects and morning raves, the festival has shown the breadth of what dance and performing arts can be.

The program continues over the next few days with performances, workshops and new meetings between artists and the audience. We look forward to the continuation!
