TEN — a path into the professional dance field

What happens after you finish your education – when you have talent, will and ambition, but few concrete paths forward?

This is the starting point for TEN, IN2IT's mentoring program for young dancers. We are now opening applications for the next round, leading up to the IN2IT International Dance Festival 2027.

We are looking for 10 dancers between the ages of 18 and 21 who want to take the next step - and who are ready to enter into a real artistic process.

A program for development, experience and direction

TEN is designed as an artistic development course in the transition between education and the professional field. Through the program, participants work closely with established choreographers, and follow a creative process from initial idea to finished performance.

Participants work in two groups and form an ensemble over time, with workshops, rehearsals and creative laboratories as a central part of the work.

The goal is not just to create performances – but to give young dancers experience, security and networks that make it possible to take the next step in their artistic career.

What do you get as a participant?

Through TEN you will develop your own artistic expression and stage presence, while gaining insight into how the professional field actually works. You will work closely with other dancers and artists, and be part of the creation of new performing arts.

The program culminates in two new productions that will be presented during the IN2IT International Dance Festival 2027, in front of a national and international audience.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who has dance experience – regardless of style – and who is motivated, curious and willing to work purposefully over time. You should be open to collaboration and creative processes, and have a desire to continue pursuing dance.

Practical information

The program consists of several collections throughout the year:

• June 2026

• October 2026

• February 2027

• and ends with a festival in March 2027

Audition will take place on May 9, 2026 in Normoria, Kristiansund, and the application deadline is April 20, 2026.
